FARGO, N.D.—Border States Electric branches in Tennessee have operated, until recently, under the trade names Harris Electric Supply and UtiliCor. April 1, all Harris Electric Supply and UtiliCor branches changed their name to Border States Electric. Additionally, the Nashville UtiliCor branch relocated to the Harris Electric Supply (Wedgewood) facility in February.
“While their legacy names bring a great history of quality and integrity, having different names in the market creates confusion,” said Tammy Miller, CEO. “Border States is an employee-owned company and is known for service excellence. The transition from the Harris Electric Supply and UtiliCor names to Border States will clear confusion for customers, vendors and the community and help us to better serve our customers with a consistent brand.”
Border States supplies products and services to construction, industrial and utility customers. The 100 percent employee-owned company is the ninth largest electrical distributor in the U.S. as ranked by Electrical Wholesaling magazine. Border States has more than 1,600 employees and 62 branches in 14 states. Corporate headquarters are located in Fargo, N.D.Tagged with tED
