HD Supply Completes Sale of Waterworks

ATLANTA — HD Supply Holdings, Inc. recently announced it has completed the previously announced sale of its Waterworks business unit to funds managed by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice. Goldman Sachs & Co, LLC served as financial advisor and King & Spalding served as legal counsel to HD Supply on the transaction.

tEDmag.com announced the sale on June 6, 2017:

HD Supply announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell HD Supply Waterworks, the nation's largest distributor of water, sewer, storm and fire protection products, to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice. The purchase price is approximately $2.5 billion payable in cash at closing. The transaction is expected to close in HD Supply's third quarter of fiscal 2017 subject to customary closing conditions, including applicable regulatory approvals.
