HESCO Acquires Georgia Electric Supply, Opens New Facility

DORAVILLE, Ga. — Atlanta-based Hicks Electric & Utility Supply Company (HESCO) announced the opening of their 5th location in Savannah, a result of HESCO’s recent acquisition of Georgia Electric Supply (GES).

Owned and operated by Wendell Fetzer for 30+ years, GES has been a mainstay in the Savannah electrical business and in the industry. The combination of the tradition, history, and relationships at GES with the entrepreneurial energy, service reputation, and capabilities of HESCO will bring enhanced product and service offerings to existing and new customers in the region.

“HESCO is proud to join the team Wendell created, and to carry the business forward,” said HESCO owner David Hicks, Jr. “Savannah is a great city with unbelievable history and a very bright future, and we’re looking forward to being a part of that.” Hicks anticipates being able to serve a broader footprint with expanded capabilities such as more delivery options, broader and deeper inventory, and project lighting and gear expertise.

The new location at 19 Westgate Boulevard will service customers throughout southeast Georgia and northern Florida. Hicks noted that HESCO is already staging a large project in the Savannah facility for an Atlanta contractor working in North Florida.
