IDEA Announces Partnership with EnterWorks

ARLINGTON & STERLING, Va. — IDEA announced its strategic partnership with EnterWorks, whose Multi-Domain MDM platform will become an integral component of IDEA’s mission to be the single source of complete, high-quality data that allows businesses to make the best decisions possible. EnterWorks is a global leader of Multi-Domain Master Data Management (MDM) solutions and received the highest analyst score for its Product Information Management (PIM) solution. IDEA selected the EnterWorks MDM solution to power the future generation of the IDEA Connector ℠, building from today’s offering that standardizes and manages manufacturer product data in electrical, industrial, retail and consumer-packaged goods.

“In our 20th anniversary year, we embrace the themes of new thinking and new opportunities. Accordingly, we are pleased to welcome EnterWorks as our new strategic partner for creating and implementing IDEA Connector, using the EnterWorks Enable MDM platform,” said Paul Molitor, President and CEO of IDEA. “The Enable platform can handle the scale of our vertical content networks while meeting the functional needs that our members have expressed; EnterWorks expertise, technology, and commitment will be key to enabling our vision.”

IDEA serves as a premier industry data pool, serving the electrical industry and other sectors for North American manufacturers to securely share accurate and timely product and pricing data with distributors and other wholesale trading partners. IDEA and EnterWorks will be taking the existing platform to another level of secure data exchange with IDEA Connector ℠, enriching the content in the Connector in terms of depth, breadth, and quality. IDEA will implement the latest release of EnterWorks’ exceptionally configurable, secure, and scalable MDM solution, taking full advantage of new UX/UI, its robust reporting capabilities for product data quality and compliance, and its Agile Data FabricTM architecture for the speed of data exchange and extended capabilities.

“Investments in our core platform’s architecture and tech stack have led to significant advancements in performance, scalability, connectivity, and usability, and are proving to be a differentiator for member organizations and individual companies alike, given the pace of digitization across entire industry networks. Large-scale data collaboration is a fundamental enabler of business excellence and IDEA is the leader in creating a new future for vertical competence,” said Rick Chavie, CEO of EnterWorks. “We are very pleased to be a part of realizing their shared vision for data excellence and appreciate the opportunity to address the challenge of exchanging data on millions of products among manufacturers and distributors to improve their business performance.”
