IDEAL Promotes Ian Rittof

SYCAMORE, IL — IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC., one of the world’s largest manufacturers and suppliers of contractor-grade tools, connectors and testing products for the Electrical and Data Communications markets, announced today that Ian Rittof will be joining its Precision Tool business unit in the role of Applications Engineer.

Previously Product Engineer for both the Precision Tools unit and IDEAL subsidiary Pratt-Read, Rittof will report to Jim Falotico, Business Unit Manager-Precision Tool. In his new position, Rittof will provide technical sales support to customers for existing IDEAL products, as well as lead the development of product improvements/new product solutions to meet emerging customer needs. In addition, he will help identify new market opportunities to drive the business growth strategy.

In making the announcement, Falotico said: “Ian has a proven track record of enabling innovative companies to grow through his understanding and anticipation of customer needs. His depth of engineering, product development and management experience will enable the Precision Tool Business Unit to effectively expand its market share.”

The Precision Tool business unit designs machines and tools that help manufacturers increase efficiency, save costs and reduce labor. It offers a full line of bench-top and hand-held tools and products that make commercial and aerospace wire processing accurate and affordable.

Prior to joining IDEAL, Rittof worked in the Emergency Power Engineering Group at Hamilton Sundstrand Electric Systems (now UTC Aerospace Systems) in Rockford, IL, focusing on product improvement, supplier development and customer support.
