IMARK Cancels 2020 Electrical Showcase

NAED and tED magazine just received the following notice from IMARK:

To: Registrants to the 2020 Showcase
From: The IMARK Electrical Board of Directors

We regret to inform you that the 2020 IMARK Electrical Showcase, scheduled for March 24-26 th in Chicago has been canceled.

This is a very painful decision for us as I’m sure you can imagine. We love our Showcase meeting and look forward to attending every year. Ultimately, we determined that if even one person contracted the COVIN-19 virus either in Chicago or in transit, that was one case too much.

Furthermore, in recent days, we have seen an increase of travel bans or restrictions put in place by leading manufacturers and some members as well as a flurry of cancellations of other industry meetings and events. Despite the low risk for healthy adults of getting the coronavirus, we felt like we had no choice but to act with an abundance of caution.

We hope you understand, and we regret the inconvenience this may cause you. We have directed the hotel to cancel the reservations of all attendees, so no action is required on your behalf.

IMARK will be issuing refunds for the expenses related to your Exhibition and participation at Showcase 20. Kelly Koch of IMARK will be in contact with Exhibitors next week with more details.

We have no plans to reschedule this meeting in 2020 as the near-term future is unpredictable.

The 2021 Showcase will be held March 23-25th .

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Robert P. Smith
President and CEO
