Industry Veteran Jerry Sharpe Passes Away

GRAPEVINE, Texas — An esteemed former colleague and retired Philips/Advance Regional Vice President, Jerry Sharpe, passed away on March 7, 2026. He was 79.

Jerry was deeply respected throughout the lighting and electrical industry for the way he treated colleagues, partners, and customers — always like family. Over a distinguished 35-year career with Philips, he advanced from sales roles to Regional Vice President, earning a reputation for exceptional leadership, integrity, and customer relationships.

Jerry had a rare understanding of his customers’ businesses and markets, paired with a genuine care for people that made him one of the industry’s most respected leaders. He believed success was built on strong connections and spent his career creating lasting partnerships.

Jerry is survived by his wife Nancy Sharpe, two daughters, and two cherished grandchildren. He will also be missed by all of his former employees and many friends. He was surrounded by loved ones at the time of his passing.

Jerry enjoyed sharing stories about his early life working on a ranch – memories that reflected his love of the outdoors. He also treasured time with his grandchildren.

Jerry will be remembered for his leadership, kindness, and mentorship. His legacy endures in the many lives and careers he influenced across the industry. He will be deeply missed by colleagues, friends, and all who have had the privilege of knowing him.
