Industry Veteran Ron Lim Retires

Electrical industry veteran Ron Lim, of Griffith Electric Supply Company, is retiring at the end of September. Lim’s 50-year career has included roles with Thomas & Betts, Crescent Stonco, and the last ten years with Griffith.

While at Griffith, Lim managed all of sales including; outside sales, inside sales, the Projects Dept. and all of the branches. Lim kept Griffith current with new products, including solar products, generators, LEDs and many other energy saving products. He organized lunch-and-learns, breakfast meetings and larger meetings such as the Green Day events.

Lim introduced the customer incentive trip program, which brought new business and new customers to Griffith. He was also very instrumental in helping Griffith win back the State of New Jersey contract, and much of the quasi-state business that the company now enjoys.

Lim was an active member of IMARK, and served on the Marketing Committee for many years.

“He did all of these tasks, and more, with the energy and enthusiasm of a man half his age,” said Bill Goodwin, president of Griffith Electric Supply Company.

Outside of work, Ron and his wife Doris spend a great deal of time caring for dogs and finding them homes as part of an organized animal rescue team. They plan to stay in New Jersey much of the year, and spend as much time as possible in their new home in South Carolina.

Lim’s last day at Griffith will be September 30th.

“[We wish] Ron a well-deserved retirement, and a ‘thank you’ for making Griffith Electric a much better company,” said Goodwin.
