J. H. Larson Company Celebrates 90th Anniversary

Wholesale Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC & Datacom distributor J.H. Larson Company, is turning 90. In the summer of 1931, near the beginning of the Great Depression, Joe Larson founded J.H. Larson with his wife, Lucille in Roberts, Wisconsin. The first products sold were radio parts and batteries for the booming radio industry. They operated the company out of their home where Joe conducted sales and made deliveries in a Model T Ford coupe. In 1936, the Larson’s opened their first storefront warehouse operation in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The Triangle Conduit and Cable product line was taken on, which expanded the company from radio supplies to electrical products.

Now, with over four generations of family leadership in its 90 years, the company has grown to a total of seven locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and South Dakota. The company also offers premier plumbing and lighting fixtures with four locations of Pahl’s Designer Showrooms in Wisconsin and South Dakota. Current ownership remains in the family with Greg Pahl, CEO and Owner, Luke Pahl, President, and Jasmine Pahl, Secretary and Treasurer.

“I am very proud of our employees and our service to our customers.” said Greg Pahl, CEO and Owner. “Ninety years as a family-owned business is a remarkable achievement, especially for an independent distributorship. We are fortunate to have loyal, long term customers who we have partnered with for decades. 90 years could not have happened without the commitment to service and talent of our tight-knit family of employees. We are excited to be celebrating our 90th Anniversary this year and look forward to our continued growth.”

J.H. Larson Company has celebratory events planned throughout the year that pay tribute to its namesake, employees, customers, and partners.
