JH Larson Company, headquartered in Plymouth, MN, has reached an agreement to purchase Hutt Electric Supply, an independent electrical distributor located in Abbotsford, WI.
Hutt Electric Supply was founded in 1931 by Maurice Hutt in Abbotsford, WI. After 47 years of ownership in the Hutt family, the business was sold to Al Ewert in 1978. Al’s son, Richard Ewert, purchased Hutt Electric Supply upon his father’s retirement in 2001 and has been the principal owner ever since.
Hutt Electric Supply is a wholesale electrical supply leader in the central Wisconsin region with a history of superior selection and exemplary customer service. Hutt’s core values align perfectly with JH Larson’s commitment to support and service through their valued employees. The Hutt Electric Supply’s name will change to JH Larson Company, Abbotsford, WI branch and Richard Ewert will continue as Branch Manager.
This acquisition reinforces a strategic commitment by JH Larson Company to the electrical, plumbing and HVAC supply business. It also strengthens JH Larson’s position in central Wisconsin and shows commitment to growth and expansion into new markets.
JH Larson Company is family owned and has been a major supplier of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC products and services to the upper Midwest market since 1931. The company operates nine locations throughout Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
