Ken Rogers, EVP and Co-Owner of Ideal Electric Supply, Passes Away

The Executive Vice President and co-owner of Ideal Electric Supply Corporation, Ken Rogers, passed away on February 7, 2020.

KEN VINCENT ROGERS

September 12, 1940 – February 7, 2020

On February 7, 2020, the beloved husband of Cora Williams and father of Todd and Angela Rogers, passed away peacefully after a very full and exciting life. Cora and Ken were lovebirds who enjoyed a long and loving relationship of over 35 years. Ken was born in Decatur, Alabama and raised in Winter Haven, Florida. He was one of 7 children, the Honorable Frank Howard White, Rev. Clifford Matthews, Lt. Col. Ralph L. White, Jean Miller, Julia Ann Lacey and Edmond White. Ken had a stellar career. He held several executive positions in Corporate America, both domestically and abroad, the U.S. Army, various high-level Government appointments and in recent years served as Executive Vice President and co-owner of the Ideal Electric Supply Corporation, a vocation that he shared with his loving wife Cora. He is survived by three siblings, two children, two grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was a long time Virginia resident, an avid golfer, extensive traveler and an all-around renaissance man. He graduated with high academic honors from Florida A&M in 1962, where he was the saxophone section leader in the world-renowned Marching 100 Rattlers. Ken was blessed with an extraordinary life, opportunities, experiences and a loving family and scores of friends who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life and Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday, February 15th at 10:30 a.m. with Visitation at 9 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 400 I (Eye) Street, SW, Washington, DC 20024. Burial to follow at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery in Bladensburg, Md.
