Kirby Risk Endorses NEMRA POS Standards

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — Kirby Risk has joined more than 50 manufacturers/brands, national chains and other leading distributors in endorsing NEMRA’s POS Minimum Reporting Standards.

With over 40 locations in Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio, for 93 years Kirby Risk has placed a high value on its customers, employees, vendors, and community relations and believed in “going above and beyond what it takes to do right” for its customers and partners. According to John Eggleton, president of Kirby Risk, “Over the years we’ve optimized our operational platform and recognized that sharing POS information with our key partners is important so that they can appropriately compensate the sales agencies that support us in the field. The NEMRA POS standard helps bring consistency to the process and we hope that our contribution helps our manufacturers while at the same time supports our reps. I would encourage every manufacturer that sells to us to endorse, and use, the standards.”

According to Dave Heaviland, Director of Marketing, “We have changed our formatting to meet the NEMRA standards. Most of the remaining report is self-explanatory and is already included in our existing Detailed POS reports, so it was just a matter of reformatting. This will help us streamline our internal processes, reduce costs, improve POS turnaround time and provide a benchmark for going forward. In the future, manufacturers who desire POS information from us will need to be able to accept the NEMRA format.”

Jim Johnson, President of NEMRA, commented, “On behalf of the NEMRA members that serve the Indiana, Illinois and Ohio marketplace, we appreciate Kirby Risk endorsing and quickly adopting the NEMRA POS standard. Their commitment to ‘doing the right thing’, speed to implementation and support are indicative of the quality that they are known for and highlights the value that they feel manufacturer reps add to their business as Kirby seeks to support their customers and manufacturers.”
