BOTHELL, Wash. – Leviton announced that its Front-Loading UTP QUICKPORT™ patch panel and LM-RDT Cat 6A UTP cables were recognized among the best in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry by the 2023 Cabling Installation & Maintenance Innovators Awards. The stellar third-party judging panel includes cabling and communications system specifiers, designers, integrators and managers with vast professional experience. The awards were presented during the 2023 BICSI Fall Conference. Leviton was recognized with a Platinum award for the Front-Loading QUICKPORT UTP patch panel and a Gold award for LM-RDT cable.
“On behalf of the Cabling Installation & Maintenance Innovators Awards, I would like to congratulate Leviton on their Platinum and Gold Level honoree status,” said Cabling Installation & Maintenance’s Chief Editor Patrick McLaughlin. “This competitive, unbiased program celebrates the most original and innovative products in the industry.”
The Front-Loading QUICKPORT™ UTP patch panel offers a global solution for dense racks and cabinets with an easy and efficient way to add network connections without network downtime. The panel uses an innovative installation bezel that allows deployment and MAC work from the front side of the rack or cabinet. Installers don’t have to climb into a cabinet and potentially disturb other cables or network connections to make minor network changes. The panels come in plastic-free, 100% recyclable Sustainably Smart Packaging that reduces jobsite waste while improving unpacking and clean-up.
LM-RDT UTP cables are the smallest Cat 6A cables in the industry, able to be used in all enterprise environments, including plenum (CMP), riser (CMR), and indoor/outdoor (I/O) applications. All LM-RDT cables are fillerless, with CMR and I/O as the first fillerless Cat 6A cables of their type on the market. These small diameter cables are faster to install, create less jobsite waste and fit into smaller pathways, making them ideal for cable upgrades in areas where space is at a premium. The cable uses Precision Twist Technology, which introduces controlled variation into the manufacturing twist operation for greater headroom performance. Also, plenum cable jackets include Leviton’s FLX-1™ advanced polymer technology for greater flexibility, easier routing through cable pathways and virtually no coil memory.
