HOUSTON — Lonestar Electric Supply has acquired Industrial Cable Solutions (ICS), a Louisiana-based distributor specializing in industrial, commercial, and data communication solutions across the region.
The move marks Lonestar’s continued push into Louisiana, building on recent expansions across New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette. ICS brings deep expertise in industrial automation, commercial infrastructure, and structured cabling — capabilities that strengthen Lonestar’s ability to serve contractors, EPC firms, and end users along the I-20 corridor.
“ICS has built a strong reputation by delivering customized solutions for some of the toughest industrial and commercial applications,” said Jeff Metzler, Chief Executive Officer of Lonestar Electric Supply. “Bringing their team into the Lonestar family is exactly the kind of move that helps us make it happen for customers across the Gulf South.”
Set to close on later this month, the acquisition will bring approximately 25 ICS employees into the Lonestar organization, with the team continuing to operate out of its existing locations in West Monroe, and Ruston, Louisiana. Customers will see no disruption to service and will gain access to Lonestar’s vendor partners like ABB Electrification, Orbit, and Southwire, along with Lonestar solutions including lighting and controls design support, integrated solutions, tools and equipment, and project management resources.
Now in its 11th year in business, Lonestar Electric Supply was recently named the 12th largest distributor by Electrical Wholesaling magazine. With flagship distribution facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Tennessee, the company partners with commercial and industrial contractors, EPCs, OEMs, end users, and more to lead electrification across America.
