HOUSTON, Texas — For the third time in seven months, Lonestar Electric Supply announces the opening of an out-of-state facility — expanding its national presence.
The company, which launched in 2015, expects to open its first Tennessee distribution center later this summer, with operations starting in Nashville. This expansion follows the Louisiana and Oklahoma additions announced late last year.
“The past year has marked tremendous growth for our company,” said Jeff Metzler, Chief Executive Officer of Lonestar Electric Supply. “Whether it’s Louisiana, Oklahoma or now Tennessee — we see a demand for solution-driven distribution models like ours. We will continue to work hard and innovate to earn the business of Tennessee electrical contractors.”
The company’s Nashville facility will concentrate on distribution of electrical supplies, working with industry leaders like ABB Electrification, Southwire, and Orbit Industries. The new facility will be under the leadership of Chad Barney and will employ approximately 40 people. Located at 613 Salyers Drive, orders are expected to ship as early as June.
“There’s no doubt about the incredible growth in Nashville,” Barney said. “People are moving there because of a robust job market, bringing new construction to the area. Electrical contractors are overloaded and we believe our solutions can help.” Construction Coverage ranks Nashville as No. 4 on its list of new housing units in large metro areas.
Lonestar Electric Supply goes beyond delivery of electrical components — the company also aids in lighting and controls design, estimating, and project management.
“Nashville is booming and we believe a streamlined electrical supply distribution process is paramount to meet the area’s needs,” Barney said. “We want to get online as soon as possible.”
Lonestar Electric Supply announced its first move out of Texas in October 2024 with an expansion to New Orleans. The company opened Oklahoma City operations in March.
