MaxLite Receives 11 ADEX Awards for Excellence in Product Design

WEST CALDWELL, N.J. – MaxLite has been recognized for its leadership and innovation in product design by the Awards for Design Excellence (ADEX) competition, sponsored by Design Journal magazine.

MaxLite earned 11 ADEX awards, including seven Platinum awards for its LED lamps and luminaires. Receiving Platinum recognition were the Micro-T Lay-In Panel, Flush Mount Ceiling Fixture, Polygon Linear Fixture, Puck Lamp, Omnidirectional A-lamp, 7-watt LED MR 16 lamp and miniature low-voltage Wedge and G4 base lamps.

“The 2014-2015 ADEX Awards attracted upwards of 500 companies submitting thousands of innovative new products,” said John Platter, executive director of ADEX. “The ADEX Award has recognized many outstanding product designs over the years, and MaxLite lighting products have certainly earned their place among that elite group.”

MaxLite was also named a Gold winner for its versatile Plug-and-Play Lightbars, and a Silver award winner for its unique Wet-Listed Marquee Lamp. MaxLite will exhibit these award-winning products, and a full line of indoor and outdoor LED lamps and luminaires, at LIGHTFAIR International 2015, the industry’s largest trade show, from May 5 to 7 at the Javits Center in New York City.

“At MaxLite, we strive to create innovative lighting products that not only deliver high levels of functionality and efficiency, but style and versatility as well,” said Jim Hunter, senior vice president of sales and marketing. “We are honored that our products are recognized by this prestigious design awards program.”

ADEX is the largest and most prestigious awards program for product design of furniture, fixtures and finishes marketed to the design trade. All of the entries in each of the ADEX categories have potential for three award levels of Platinum, Gold or Silver. Judges awarded points based on form, function, value, and fitness for particular purpose. Total points earned determined each winner’s award level. All Platinum, Gold and Silver level products will be published in the 2015 ADEX Winners Issue of Design Journal, the international trade publication for interior designers, architects and facility managers.
