Mayer Endows Scholarship With Auburn

Mayer Electric Supply Company has established an endowed scholarship with Auburn University at Montgomery, Alabama. Glenn Goedecke, Executive Vice President of Business Development, said the $25,000 scholarship is being offered exclusively for first-generation college students.

Upon being asked why Mayer decided to be a part of the AUM campaign efforts, Glenn Goedecke shared, “Education has been a core value of Mayer for many years. We wanted to create an endowment that supports this value. It should allow students who otherwise may not have the opportunity to go to college, get an education and become successful in their post-college years. We want to give back to our communities, invest in generations to come, and create a funnel of candidates for businesses in the future. Mayer’s owners and leaders believe in a reputation of goodness, flawless performance, and being best in class. Our vision is to be “First ChoiceSM” of customers, associates, and suppliers and this is just one more way we pursue this vision.”
