Metro Wire and Cable-Iowa City has hired Phil Zajdel as a sales consultant.
Zajdel comes to Iowa City after serving as a sales consultant at Metro Wire and Cable’s southeast distribution facility, located in Lawrenceville, Ga. Zajdel, originally joining Metro in 2006, will be working with customers in and around Iowa, as well as specializing in providing solutions to electrical contractors, fire and security companies, utilities, OEM’s and other customer bases. Zajdel’s broad knowledge of electrical cable and accessories, coupled with his abilities to relate well with various customer groups will poise him for great success in this market.

Metro Wire, founded in Detroit, Mich. in 1976, established its Southeast Regional Distribution Center in Atlanta, Ga. in 1981, and it’s Midwest Regional Distribution Center in Iowa City, Iowa in 2008. The company is now headquartered in Sterling Heights, Mich.
