Microsoft Reaches Agreement With I.B.I.S.

Microsoft announced at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference an agreement with I.B.I.S., Inc. making I.B.I.S. a Global Independent Software Vendor (GISV) for their Advanced Distribution Software solution. Microsoft’s GISV program offers select partners the opportunity to spotlight their deep industry knowledge and vertical-tailored solutions to the greater marketplace. Microsoft employs its internal resources and global reach to help GISVs expand and improve their solution and sales footprint.

I.B.I.S. Chief Executive Officer Andy Vabulas acknowledged the major opportunity for growth by becoming a Microsoft GISV. “It’s probably the best business opportunity that we’ve ever been presented from any partner, including Microsoft,” Vabulas says. “I can see where we will double or triple our business over the next five years.” Through the program, I.B.I.S. has access to Microsoft and its network of more than 600,000 partner companies across the globe.

“There are 6,500-plus distributors in the industrial distribution market in the U.S. alone that will need to change ERP systems in the next five years,” stated Vabulas. “With Microsoft Dynamics AX providing a modern and powerful ERP system, we felt if we did some work in revenue management, order management, inventory and procurement, we could really tailor Dynamics AX to fit the sophisticated needs of those companies.”

Advanced Distribution Software is specifically designed for today’s fast paced distribution market. The latest update further extends the Dynamics AX functionality for: trade promotions management, deduction management, charge backs, lost sales tracking, upsell/downsell/substitute functionality, quick order entry, left to qualify, protected/allocated inventory, and much more. These features are found in the Advanced Revenue Management, Advanced Order Management, Advanced Inventory Management, Advanced Business Intelligence and Advanced Procurement modules which can be purchased individually or as a bundle.

At a time when many distributors are operating on outdated ERP and IT systems, Advanced Distribution Software gives distributors a competitive advantage for optimizing profits and gaining market share. Advanced Distribution Software allows distributors to upgrade their ERP and IT systems today, rather than waiting for their existing providers to identify, develop and release mission-critical enterprise solutions. Advanced Distribution Software is the solution that is essential for distributors to bridge the gap between their customer requirements, vendor needs and complex process requirements.
