Milbank Announces Retirement of Regional Manager

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Eastern Region Sales Manager Larry Minnix will retire from Milbank effective June 30, with over 33 years of dedicated service. During his career, Minnix has been responsible for sales in the Eastern Region which has, at one time or the other, incorporated virtually all territories east of the Mississippi River. He saw many changes in the meter socket industry including the utility transition to a distributor-based marketplace. He hired many new sales representatives, assisted in setting up their warehouse inventories and signed up many of Milbank’s distributor customers in the East. Throughout his career, he maintained a strong relationship with his utility contacts in both the purchasing and meter engineering departments.

“Larry has left an exceptional legacy with Milbank, our partners and customers,” said Chris Buelow, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Milbank. “With the solid relationships Larry built, we are poised for continued success in our Eastern region. We are very thankful for the service and leadership he has given us over the years.”

Minnix was representative of Milbank’s impressive history of employee retention. Out of 600 employees, more than 100 have been with the company more than 20 years, with several serving more than 30 years.

We are very happy for Larry, but feeling a little sorry for us. I have enjoyed knowing him for too many years to count, and he will be missed. Enjoy your retirement Larry.
