Greenercars.org, a website operated by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy, named the i-MIEV from Mitsubishi as the greenest car in the United States in 2012. The i-MIEV is a battery-only electric vehicle.
It’s the 14th year the website has named a winner. For the past eight years in a row, Honda’s natural-gas-powered Civic had taken the title. This year the Honda Civic Natural Gas came in at number two on the list.
