More push behind lighting controls as Crestron hires 3 in West

“Lighting is an integral part of a complete integrated network and building control solution. We are very pleased to welcome Craig, Mark and Christ to our dynamic team to accommodate the growth in our industry,” said Mike Malone, vice president of lighting controls at Crestron.

Malone’s words accompanied a Crestron news release announcing the expansion of the company’s lighting resources in the West.

Crestron recently hired the following employees:

  • Craig Baum, formerly of western region director of sales for Lumnergi, has been named commercial lighting regional sales manager at Crestron. Baum also previously worked with Simkar, Cooper Lighting and Leviton. His job is now to represent commercial lighting in the western region of the United States and parts of western Canada.
  • Mark Lachman moved to Crestron from Sentry Switch where he was national sales and marketing manager. Lachman is now commercial lighting regional sales manager at Crestron. His resume includes work at Lutron, Progress Lighting, and Osram Sylvania. He will now be responsible for commercial lighting in northern California, Reno and Utah.
  • Christ Surunis has been named regional manager for consultant market development. He will tackle the consultant market in northern California, northern Nevada and Utah. His 30 years of design and construction industry experience include 10 years at Lutron where he was senior specifications manager in commercial lighting controls, among other posts.

“They will expand our commercial lighting business and meet the demands of our customers by working with consultants, local electrical contractors, distributors and specifiers in their territories,” Malone added.
