NAILD Establishes Lighting Controls Integrators Council

USA/Canada – The National Association of Innovative Lighting Distributors (NAILD) has recently launched a dedicated working group aimed at accelerating the adoption of lighting controls within the built environment. This strategic initiative involves partnering with vendors and manufacturers to enhance the advanced lighting controls experience for designers, contractors, electricians, and end users.

Leading this influential council is Ronald Kuszmar, an esteemed lighting designer and controls integrator with an impressive track record spanning over two decades. Ron currently serves as the Vice President of Port Lighting and brings a wealth of expertise to the role. Assisting him is C. Webster Marsh, a prominent figure in the industry. Both Ron and Webster have co-hosted “The Lighting Control Podcast,” an esteemed interview series supported by NAILD and The Lighting Controls Association, a division of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association. This newly established council solidifies the existing partnership and demonstrates a shared commitment to elevating the field of connected lighting.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the project, NAILD President Jeff Nefouse stated, “For years, the lighting industry has teetered on the brink of a transformative revolution with the advent of connected lighting controls. However, it has become undeniably clear that effectively navigating the complexities of these sophisticated systems necessitates a collaborative approach. This calls for the establishment of comprehensive educational programs and industry certifications. By establishing the Lighting Controls Integrators Council, NAILD is fully prepared to embrace this challenge head-on.”

The formation of this council marks a significant milestone for NAILD, as it positions the association at the forefront of driving industry progress and fostering innovation in the rapidly evolving realm of lighting controls.
