NAME Energy Group Promotes Kyle Leighton to Oversee Midwest Growth

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — New York City based NAME Energy Group, a clean technology organization, and parent company of MHT Lighting, Inc. and Power Metrics International, announced that Kyle Leighton will take over as its Regional Sales Manager for the Midwest region of the United States.

“I’m looking forward to being based back in Michigan, and directing the company’s sales channels in the Midwestern markets,” Leighton said. His primary concentration will be presenting distributors with LED lighting products, overseeing sales representatives, and facilitating the launch of new and innovative NAME products in the territory such as their PoE solution.

Leighton, who is originally from Michigan, came aboard NAME Energy Group in 2015 as its Director of Marketing and was relocated to its corporate headquarters in New York City.  NAME subsidiary MHT Lighting, Inc. has been experiencing excessive sales growth in the Midwest region, so much so that it warranted appointing a Regional Sales Manager in the territory to oversee the spike.  “We’re selling a lot of lights in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio, but we don’t have the sales leadership required to support our growth in the area,” stated Joe Scalice, Inside Sales Director at MHT Lighting, Inc. “It was a unanimous decision to appoint Kyle as the Regional Sales Manager for that area because of his lighting knowledge and network there.”

Leighton was honored in 2013 at the National Association of Electrical Distributors LEAD Conference in Chicago, Illinois, when he was named to tED Magazine’s list of emerging electrical industry leaders in the United States. In 2014, he received the Recent Graduate Award from Siena Heights University based on his success in the electrical field.

“We are confident in our decision to expand in the Midwest, and are certain that Kyle will be successful there,” commented Tom Spinelli, CEO of NAME Energy Group.
