ROSSLYN, Va. — The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) published NEMA TC 3-2013 Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Fittings for Use with Rigid PVC Conduit and Tubing, NEMA TC 6 & 8-2013 Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Plastic Utilities Duct for Underground Installations, and NEMA TC 18-2013 Packaging of Master Bundles for EPC-40 Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Conduit.
NEMA TC 3 covers polyvinyl chloride (PVC) fittings intended to be joined in the field by a solvent cement system to PVC rigid conduit, tubing, and other fittings described in NEMA TC 2. NEMA TC 3-2013 may be purchased in electronic or hardcopy format for $72.
NEMA TC 6 & 8 specify requirements, test methods, and markings for Type EB-20, Type EB-35, Type DB-60, Type DB-100, and Type DB-120 PVC plastic utility ducts intended for underground installation in electrical and communications applications. NEMA TC 6 & 8-2013 may be purchased in electronic or hardcopy format for $71.
NEMA TC 18 provides recommendations for the size and banding of master bundles for electrical EPC-40PVC conduit. Changes were made to the number-of-pieces-in-a-master-bundle table, and to the recommendation on the securing of bundles. NEMA TC 18-2013 may be purchased in electronic or hardcopy format for $50.
