ATLANTA, GA – The National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (NEMRA) announced Eaton’s Tammy Livers will receive the organization’s Thomas F. Preston Manufacturer of the Year award at its Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. Livers, Vice President of Sales for Eaton’s Residential and Wiring Device Division, lives and works in the Atlanta area.
The Thomas F. Preston Manufacturer of the Year award is presented annually to an individual within a manufacturing firm who has shown outstanding business leadership, business integrity, and support of the independent electrical manufacturer’s representative and NEMRA. The award will be presented to Ms. Livers during the general session of NEMRA’s Annual Conference.
“Tammy Livers is a wonderful example of the qualities which compel our industry to thrive and move forward,” said Kenneth Hooper, president of NEMRA. “She is a leader within our industry and represents the values NEMRA holds dear.”
Ms. Livers joined the electrical industry in 1997. Throughout her distinguished career she has worked for Thomas & Betts, Hubbell Incorporated, Cooper Industries and Eaton.
The award is named in honor of Tom Preston, NEMRA’s first Executive Director who served in that role from NEMRA’s inception in 1969 until 1986. It has been given annually at the NEMRA Annual Conference since 1979. Nominations are made each year by NEMRA’s members.
“NEMRA’s reps consider Tammy a smart and engaged advocate for her sales team and praised her honest straight-forward communication style” said Hooper. “For these very reasons, we are proud to name her Manufacturer of the Year.”
