nVent Releases 2023 Sustainability Report

nVent released its 2023 Sustainability Report, which details nVent’s progress across the focus areas of People, Products, Planet and Governance, including:

  • Increased global representation of women in management by 4%.
  • Increased renewable energy consumption to 15%.
  • Reduced total greenhouse gas emissions by 9%.
  • Improved our safety performance, reducing total recordable incident rate by more than 20%.
  • Achieved its goal, ahead of target, to make 100% of product environmental data digitally accessible to customers.

Beth Wozniak, Chair and CEO, stated:

“2023 was another outstanding year for nVent. We delivered record financial performance and continued to execute on our strategy; expanding in high-growth verticals, launching a record number of new products and completing two acquisitions. I am extremely pleased with our team’s performance and the results we achieved, including the significant progress we’ve made across our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) focus areas of People, Products, Planet and Governance. Our efforts resulted in us earning several prestigious recognitions, including being named as one of Ethisphere’s World’s Most Ethical Companies. We were also awarded our first gold sustainability rating from EcoVadis, placing us in the top 3% of companies assessed in our industry and the 93rd percentile of all businesses assessed. I am proud of these accomplishments and the role we play in building a more sustainable and electrified world.”

nVent also announced in this report two new ESG goals to achieve by 2030:

  • In the Products pillar, to eliminate 100% of single-use plastics in all product packaging (based on outbound products shipped from nVent facilities).
  • In the Planet pillar, to achieve a 25% reduction in water consumption from the baseline year of 2019.
