HOUSTON, Texas & MORRISTOWN, Tenn. — Orbit Industries, Inc. announced the hiring of Randall Robberts as Outside Salesperson for Southern Texas and Josh Eyler as Project Manager for PROFAB.
In the Houston office, Randall Robberts will be responsible for driving Orbit Industries’ sales strategies, accelerating market growth, and identifying market trends. He will also support the region with training, marketing, and promotional programs.
The new hiring comes as Orbit Industries, Inc. experiences a “growth spurt” – with the establishment of an East coast distribution center (DC) in Tennessee in 2017; and moving its West coast DC operations to larger facilities in Bell Gardens, California. Robberts was hired to increase Orbit’s presence and response time in the state of Texas.
“We are thrilled to have Randall on board, as Texas is home to some of our most loyal and long-standing wholesale partners.” said Orbit Industries’ President David Nikayin. “While we have a competent Regional Sales Manager and manufacturer’s representative assigned to that territory, I knew we needed a stronger factory presence, with a salesperson who could immediately respond to new opportunities.”
“Randall comes to us with a deep understanding of the Gulf Coast’s biggest market sectors,” said Jason Sodaro, Orbit’s Texas Regional Sales Manager. “I could tell right away Mr. Robberts is a master at using all available resources to make things happen, ensuring the success of our distributors and contractors. We’re really fortunate to have his strategic market development, product line positioning, and sales experience.”
Robberts served Texas’ Oil & Gas and logistics industries for more than five years. Prior to Orbit, Randall worked as Commercial Tire Sales Manager for Meineke Fleet Services. At Meineke, Randall dispatched mobile mechanics to service cranes, earth movers, backhoes, and forklifts for refinery and chemical plant customers. While attending University of Houston-Clear Lake, he worked part-time for a general contractor, maintaining service truck inventory and performing simple electrical installations.
In the Morristown office, Josh Eyler will manage projects for PROFAB — Orbit’s prefabrication service division. Eyler will be responsible for oversight of shop personnel, managing estimate and design process, contract document reviews, scheduling, quality control, and training new production labor.
Eyler’s role is a crucial one: to liaise with PROFAB directors and clients, then disseminate to the production labor.
“I really needed a proactive Project Manager that could roll with the punches in a growing company,” said Todd Albright, Director of the PROFAB division. “Josh hit the ground running from day one. He can wear an “engineer” hat one minute, and a “logistics” or “foreman” hat the next minute, and he does it with passion.”
Before PROFAB, Eyler served as an electrician at the Frederick, Maryland office for Texas-based IES Holdings, Inc. During his first six years at IES, Eyler climbed the ranks to electrical foreman, managing as many as 10-20 workers. He then served another two years for IES’ South Carolina office before joining the PROFAB team. Eyler graduated the four year Electrical Craft Training Program with the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Cumberland Valley Chapter Training Center.
Eyler is excited to be a part of the growing PROFAB service division. This service helps contractors bid more jobs, break into new markets, and keep good electricians in the field longer. Orbit’s PRFOAB division is only one year old, but has already supported more than a dozen construction projects of varying complexity. PROFAB now operates in Eastern Tennessee and Southern California to serve contractors across the nation.
