Panduit Mourns the Passing of Former CEO Jack E. Caveney, Jr.

TINLEY PARK, Ill. — Panduit Corp. announces with deep sadness the loss of Jack E. Caveney, Jr., former President, CEO, & Chairman of Panduit. He passed away on April 12, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 74.

Caveney, Jr. began his career in the electrical industry in 1974, serving industrial accounts, electrical contractors, and original equipment manufacturers. He also owned and managed an electrical distributor business until 1982 when he joined Panduit.

Caveney, Jr. served in many capacities throughout his career, including National Sales Manager, Director of Product Management, and Founder and Head of the Data Communications Division before eventually taking the helm as President, CEO, and Chairman for a time. He served as a member of the Panduit Board of Directors until his passing.

“Jack was an integral part of the growth and success of the company, and his dedication to Panduit customers, distribution partners, and employees never wavered,” explained Panduit Chairman of the Board Andrew Caveney. “He genuinely cherished the friendships he built over the years. He will be very much missed.”

    My condolences to the Caveney family. I remember visiting with Jack during NAED events many years ago.
