GREENVILLE, S.C. — After extensive research, analysis and development, Progress Lighting has unveiled a new website to better serve prospects and customers. In addition to advanced capabilities and improved content, the website provides a better-quality viewing and interaction experience for visitors across a wide range of devices.
Those who visit www.progresslighting.com can now enjoy many enhanced features including:
The responsive design implementation allows users to simply and intuitively navigate the website from any mobile platform, including smart phones and tablets.
“We live in a world where people expect a seamless online experience from any and all of their devices,” said Progress Lighting Vice President Jim Decker. “We see this trend reflected in our website traffic, which receives a staggering 40 percent from mobile users.”
The entire website has been revamped with integrated content to educate and inspire visitors. New videos, trend information, instructive articles and image galleries can now be found in the “Inspiration” tab, along with the new Progress Design Guide, which features a variety of projects from designers and builders.
“The redesign process has involved evaluating previous online efforts and really building on select achievements. The Progress Lighting blog has been a hugely successful initiative, so we saw the opportunity to integrate that content into many new facets of the website to better serve as an industry resource,” said Decker.
Improved Search Functions
Progress Lighting has also given acute attention to the website’s product pages which are now easier to read, and equipped with downloadable resources including photos, videos and spec sheets. Additionally, products can be easily identified through advanced “smart search” options that now allow users to filter products by a range of categories and keywords.
The “Find a Dealer” selection, which was available on the previous site, now includes a more precise zip code or state view.
Additionally, the company plans to make significant improvements to its mobile app which will integrate many features from the responsive website.
“We never stop looking for ways to better our brand’s position in the online marketplace,” said Decker. “Our new website is just an extension of those efforts. We expect the website to be both a tool and a destination for those active in the home improvement space.”
