Prysmian Group Names New Chief Procurement Officer

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — Prysmian Group has named Bessie Williams as Chief Procurement Officer for North America. Williams brings 17 years of experience in the global supply chain and procurement sectors, with experience both in raw and non-raw procurement with an extensive background in metals.

“I am thrilled to join Prysmian Group and lead procurement for North America,” said Williams. “As Chief Procurement Officer, I look forward to strong collaboration between our senior leadership team, procurement team, and suppliers in order to execute a procurement strategy that aligns with the overall goals and delivers sustainable results for Prysmian.”

As Chief Procurement Officer for Prysmian Group North America, Williams will lead procurement efforts to enable business units and functional partners to maximize the value they receive from suppliers to meet their objectives. Williams will provide strategic thought leadership, influence and hands-on engagement to lead strategic sourcing and supply management strategies in North America.

Williams joins Prysmian from Moog Inc., where she served as Director of Strategic Sourcing for Moog Aircraft Group since 2021. In that role, she led a global strategic sourcing team. She supported sourcing, supplier identification/selection, negotiation, supplier relationship management and partnering.

Prior to Moog Inc., she was the Global Director of Procurement at Howmet, where she oversaw the procurement function for two business segments, Structures and Wheels. She also served as the Global Director of Procurement for Arconic Engineered Structures, leading procurement for 30 locations worldwide with her team of 58 global procurement and supply chain employees.

Williams holds her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Arkansas.

In her free time, Williams enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, and daughter, Juliette. She enjoys gardening, cooking, golfing and listening to live music.
