Prysmian Receives Gender Equality Certification from RINA

MILAN, Italy  — Prysmian has obtained the voluntary UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification for gender equality: a recognition of the company’s ability to implement concrete measures over the years to foster an inclusive work environment that respects all forms of diversity. This certification, which applies specifically to the Italian perimeter, including Prysmian Spa and EOSS, was awarded by RINA, a multinational certification group operating in more than 70 countries, following a successful evaluation process. This process covered areas such as pay, recruitment and selection, as well as professional development. The certification also attests to Prysmian’s support for issues related to parenting, work-life balance, and its efforts to prevent any form of abuse – physical, verbal, or digital – at the workplace.

This certification is a testament to our commitment to gender equality. We firmly believe that an inclusive and diverse work environment is essential not only for innovation but also for the progress of our company. This recognition is not a final destination, but an important milestone that motivates us to continue working in the right direction — Francesco Tutino, Chief HR & Organization Officer at Prysmian.

We are delighted to have certified Prysmian in accordance with UNI/PdR 125:2022, which attests to the adoption of a management system designed to safeguard against gender discrimination, reaffirming the company’s commitment to the well- being of its people. This achievement reflects the organization’s concrete efforts to foster an inclusive environment that values diversity and transcends stereotypes related to gender, identity, and expression. By attaining this certification, Prysmian embarks on a journey of continuous improvement that positively impacts both performance and reputation, demonstrating that economic growth and social progress can indeed go hand in hand, added Emanuele Castagno, newly appointed Executive Vice President Certification of RINA.

This result comes at the culmination of a long-standing journey pursued by Prysmian, confirming the robustness of the practices and policies in place, as well as concrete actions to create an increasingly inclusive work environment. It leverages diversity and uniqueness as strengths, enhancing the awareness and skills of its people.
