Rexel Included in the Clean200™ 2026 Ranking

Rexel SA has been included in the 2026 Clean200™ 2026 ranking by Corporate Knights, ranking 120th out of 200 of the largest public companies ranked by clean revenue.

Green finance supports the energy transition by diverting funds away from fossil fuel companies and towards innovative, “clean” businesses. This is why numerous rankings and systems have emerged in recent decades to help investors identify the most sustainable organizations.

Among these, the Clean200™ ranking lists the “200 publicly traded companies that are leading the way with solutions for the clean energy transition,” as its founders explain. This global ranking is compiled by As You Sow, a leading U.S. shareholder advocacy firm, and Corporate Knights, a media and research organization for a sustainable economy, with the aim of helping investors “identify companies that are effectively contributing to the balance between people, planet, and profits.”

The top 200 publicly traded companies by equity revenue

First calculated in 2016, the Clean200™ ranks the largest listed companies by “clean revenue” in dollars, which is the proportion of their revenue aligned with the Corporate Knights Sustainable Economy Taxonomy (CKSET). To be eligible, companies must demonstrate that more than 10% of their revenue comes from clean sources, meaning products and services “aligned with sustainability.” They must also avoid “red flags,” such as involvement in fossil fuels, deforestation, weapons, private prisons, or thermal coal, or have never been accused of obstructing climate policy. The ranking, however, does not assess companies’ overall ESG performance.

Rexel is one of 12 French companies included in the Clean200™ 2026 list, ranking 120th of 200 companies across 10 sectors selected from 8,229 companies assessed worldwide. Currently operating in 17 countries, Rexel, whose purpose is to provide “electrification solutions that enable a sustainable future,” collaborates with suppliers, partners, and customers to support innovation and accelerate the energy transition.

In addition to its extensive range of products, solutions, and services, the Group distributes a “Sustainable Selection” of over 150,000 top-quality products and offers innovative tools, such as the Carbon Tracker platform and EcoScore product ratings, which help all customers make more informed decisions in line with their sustainability goals. Last year, Rexel also launched Sustainability Shapers, a new program designed by Rexel to champion sustainability and accelerate the energy transition in collaboration with key suppliers.

This is the latest in a long line of rankings and certifications attesting to the quality of Rexel’s sustainability performance, such as a CDP A score and the EcoVadis gold medal.
