Rexel’s Wes Smith Wins NEMA’s Bernard H. Falk Award

The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) has honored Wes Smith, Senior Advisor with Rexel, Inc. and former National Association of Electrical Distributors Chair, with its Bernard H. Falk Award for 2023.

According to NEMA’s website, the Bernard H. Falk Award was established in 1991 and is given each year in recognition of outstanding achievement in technology, management, marketing, international trade, education, public affairs, or any other field important to the electroindustry. Past winners include Mike Pessina, retired C0-Chief Executive Officer and President of Lutron Electronics, Donald Handler, CEO of Leviton, and Timothy Powers, retired former Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Hubbell Incorporated.

Also this year, Jeannie Salo, Vice-President of Government Relations for Schneider Electric, earned NEMA’s Emerging Leader Award, while Alexis Bernard, Chief Technology Officer, Hubbell Incorporated and Steve Nikrant, Senior Vice President, Supply Chain, Leviton both earned the Kite and Key Award, which recognizes individuals who have advanced the interests of the electrical industry through active and sustained involvement in the affairs of NEMA.
