Richard Quinn Passes Away

Richard B. Quinn, 56, died suddenly on Friday, January 21, 2022. He was the loving husband of 25 years to Jennifer F. (Widerkehr) Quinn and the devoted father of Conor and Declan Quinn, all of Danvers.

Rich was born in Salem to Richard and Patricia (Bonia) Quinn of Estero, FL. He was raised in Danvers and was a graduate of St. John’s Preparatory School. He graduated from Bentley College and served in the US Marine Corps Reserves.

Most of Rich’s career was spent in the lighting industry, where he was employed by L.S.I. Industries. He also had been a longtime employee of OSRAM/Sylvania.

A member of the Peabody AOH and the Danvers Fish & Game Club, Rich loved coaching his sons in Danvers National Little League. He was an avid supporter of his son’s sports activities and loved attending their games. He was a certified SCUBA diver, enjoyed fishing and skiing, and had a wry sense of humor.

He treasured time spent with his family in the Outer Banks, Hilton Head, and at the family home in Bridgton, Maine.

In addition to his wife, sons, and parents, he leaves a sister, Kathryn Sanchez and her husband Javier, a brother, Michael Quinn and his wife Sara, a sister-in-law, Debbie Widerkehr and her husband Daniel, and a brother-in-law, Donald Widerkehr and his wife Judy. He also had a late brother-in-law, Harold Widerkehr. Rich leaves his extended family and many dear friends.
