Robroy Industries Hosts Dinner Featuring Special Guests Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Cal Ripken, Jr.

Robroy Industries Conduit Division, manufacturer of Plasti-Bond, Perma-Cote and KorKap (ETL-Verified PVC coated galvanized rigid conduit), hosted a special dinner event for key electrical distributor partners featuring special guests Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Cal Ripken, Jr.

This dinner preceded meetings held in Dallas for the purpose of discussing the role of specialized products in the world of electrical product distributors. Distributor guests were joined by the two sports legends, both of whom shared many inspiring, entertaining, and often humorous personal stories.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, retired American professional basketball player, is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, with 38,387 points. During his career with the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers Abdul-Jabbar won six NBA championships and a record six regular season MVP Awards. In 2012, he was selected as a U.S. cultural ambassador.

Cal Ripken is baseball’s all-time Iron Man. He retired from baseball in October 2001 after 21 seasons with the Baltimore Orioles. His name appears in the record books repeatedly, most notably as one of only eight players in history to achieve 400 home runs and 3,000 hits. On July 29, 2007 he was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Cal received the 3rd highest percentage of votes in history, collecting the highest vote total ever by the BBWAA.
