Shane Kerska Promoted to Northeast Region Manager

FARGO, N.D. — Border States Electric (BSE) has promoted Shane Kerska to Northeast Region Manager. Kerska will have sales and profit responsibility for branches in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and Iowa.

“I am pleased that Shane will be replacing me as the region manager,” said Ken Rowland, Border States’ Vice President Northeast Region. “Shane has been with our company in several different positions that have allowed him to develop strong relationships with customers, vendors and employee-owners of BSE. I am very pleased with his growth and knowledge of the industry and his sincere desire to serve internal and external customers.”

Kerska started his career with Border States in 1993 as a driver in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and held positions as City Desk Representative, Customer Service Representative, Account Manager and Branch Manager before moving to Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, in 2011 to become the Northeast Region Sales Manager for Construction and Industrial.

“My favorite things about Border States are working with our customers and understanding their needs and goals,” Shane said. “Having been blessed with great mentors within Border States in my career, I hope to have a positive impact on others. I am looking forward to the next chapter in my career and am excited about the greater opportunity to drive the company’s strategies and achieve our goals.”

Shane and his wife, Alison, live in Plymouth, Minnesota, with their two children, Evan (17) and Lauren (14). Shane enjoys being involved with church and his children’s sports and musical activities. He is also involved with the North Central Electrical League, Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and the Minnesota Electrical Association. In addition to this, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
