Textron acquired Sherman + Reilly, a manufacturer of underground and aerial transmission and distribution products based in Chattanooga, TN, in May of 2013 and HD Electric Company®, a Waukegan, IL-based designer and manufacturer of power utility products, in December of 2013 to establish a stronger presence in the electric utility industry.

According to Hall, “One of Doug’s immediate priorities will be meeting with key customers to discuss the combined benefits our product solutions provide for the power utility sector. Our goal was, and remains, to build a multi-product platform that delivers designs that are safer, more durable and more efficient than the competition.”

Hall will be leading the Greenlee Textron – Electrical business until a replacement for Eichner has been named.
