Effective September 1st, 2021, Dr. Robert McAnally will be appointed Senior Vice President Treasury & Corporate Finance for Siemens Energy. He will report directly to Chief Financial Officer Maria Ferraro. Dr. Mark Roemer will leave the company by mutual agreement by the end of the year and will support the onboarding of his successor in an advisory role.

“We are pleased to welcome Robert to Siemens Energy for this enormously important role. He comes with a wealth of experience in Finance and Treasury with a background originally as an engineer. I look forward to our collaboration and wish him all the best in his new role,” says Maria Ferraro. Adding: “As a company we aim at shaping the energy transition and ESG is at the core of our strategy. We appreciate that it also plays an increasingly important role for financing and Robert is joining us from an industry has dealt with ESG requirements for a long time.”

Robert joins Siemens Energy from Associated British Foods plc, a global retail, food, ingredients, and agriculture business headquartered in London where he was group treasurer. He has had responsibility for all essential treasury duties, including bank and rating agency management, credit risk management, interest rates, FX and commodity risk management, capital structuring and dividends. He also worked closely with pension as well as insurance managers to devise the pension and insurance schemes.

“I would like to thank Mark Roemer especially for his outstanding achievements in successfully preparing the spin-off of Siemens Energy, building the treasury and corporate finance organization and establishing our financial infrastructure including the diversified group of relationship banks. I wish him all the best for his further professional career,” says Maria Ferraro.
