Siemens Government Technologies Makes Executive Changes

WASHINGTON — Barbara Humpton has been named President and Chief Executive Officer at Siemens Government Technologies, Inc., effective October 1, 2015. Humpton joined SGT in October 2011 as Senior Vice President for Business Development. Last year, she was appointed SGT’s first Chief Operating Officer. SGT is a federally compliant Siemens legal entity.

Prior to joining SGT, Humpton held senior leadership and management positions at Lockheed Martin and Booz Allen Hamilton, where she was a Vice President at both firms. She has over 30 years of experience working in the government market and with the federal industry.

“SGT is fortunate to have Barbara’s leadership and contribution to SGT’s growth for the past four years. There is no person more qualified to take our company into new markets,” said Stan McChrystal, Chair of SGT’s Board of Directors.

Humpton holds a bachelor’s of science in mathematics from Wake Forest University.

It was also announced that SGT’s current President and CEO Judy Marks has been appointed Executive Vice President, Global Solutions, at Dresser-Rand, a Siemens Business, also effective October 1. Marks will oversee the development and deployment of comprehensive projects and programs to meet client needs and drive growth. Global Solutions includes Technology Development and Commercialization, Marketing, Merger and Acquisitions, Operations in South America, Asia and the Middle East and the Program Management Organization. The primary role of the Global Solutions Organization is to rapidly deliver solutions in response to new market and customer trends.

Marks will also take over leadership of the Siemens Dresser-Rand integration as a result of the Siemens acquisition of the Houston-based company this summer.

As SGT President and CEO, a role she has held since 2011, Marks led the growth and the development of the Federal business working with all Siemens divisions delivering Siemens products, services, technologies and solutions to all branches of the US Government.

Says McChrystal: “SGT’s Board of Directors thanks Judy for her leadership in forming SGT, driving collaboration across Siemens, and leading the growth and development of the federal business for Siemens for the past four years.”
