Sonepar announces that EMG van de Meerakker has joined Sonepar in the Netherlands, effective June 30, 2016.
Founded in 2007, EMG van de Meerakker is a specialized electrotechnical equipment wholesaler for industry and the machine and panel construction sectors. The company reported sales in excess of $21.2 million in 2015, with 35 associates in 4 branches in Weert, Veghel, Barendrecht and Veenendaal.
EMG van de Meerakker will join the existing network of Van Egmond Group, one of the Dutch operating companies of Sonepar. With this acquisition, Van Egmond Group is now an expanded operating company that, on a pro forma basis, would have had sales of $76 million and 141 associates in 2015.
