Sonepar Recognized as “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion”

CHARLESTON, SC — Sonepar has been recognized as a “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion” by earning a score of 80 on the Disability Equality Index. The Disability Equality Index is the leading independent, third-party resource for the annual benchmarking of corporate disability inclusion policies and programs.

The Disability Equality Index, originally developed as a joint initiative of Disability:IN and the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), evaluates areas like culture and leadership, enterprise-wide access, employment practices, community engagement, supplier diversity and responsible procurement. Companies are graded on a scale of zero to 100.

“I’m very proud we’ve received a top score on our disability inclusion,” said Selenah Njoloma, Director Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Sonepar. “We’ve come a long way, and we acknowledge that there’s more to do. We’re committed to doing the work to increase opportunities for associates with disabilities.”

Jason Bullock, Manager Cyber Security Engineering at Sonepar USA, and Amy Daigle, Manager Training and Development at NorthEast Electrical, a Sonepar Company, represented Sonepar at the Disability:IN Global Conference & Expo.

For the second year in a row, Sonepar was a sponsor of the 2024 Disability:IN Global Conference & Expo in Las Vegas July 14-17, where scores for participating organizations were revealed. Jason Bullock, Manager Cyber Security Engineering at Sonepar USA, and Amy Daigle, Manager Training and Development at NorthEast Electrical, a Sonepar Company, represented Sonepar at the conference. Both Bullock and Daigle serve on the board of Sonepar’s employee resource group for disability inclusion.

Sonepar’s Abled and Disabled Associates Partnering Together (ADAPT) employee resource group works to increase disability representation, embrace associate well-being and mental health, and enhance a culture where all associates can realize their full potential.
