Sonepar announced that Cheyns NV should join Sonepar, subject to approval from competition authorities in Belgium, expected in the coming months.
Founded in 1945 by the Cheyns family and based at Courtrai (western Belgium), Cheyns NV operates as an electrical wholesaler. With 180 associates and a network of 10 branches (spread in Flanders and Wallonia), it reached €70 million of sales in 2015. Cheyns serves installers and industrial companies, in all of Belgium.
This acquisition totally fits the growth strategy of Sonepar in Belgium.
