“A strong power grid is vital to delivering affordable, reliable and clean energy to all Americans. NEMA’s Grid Sector Leadership Committee is accelerating grid resilience and reliability during this critical moment in the energy transition, and we are thrilled to welcome John as chair of this committee,” said Debra Phillips, NEMA’s president and CEO. “John’s extensive expertise in the electrical industry and in his leadership role at Southwire will be invaluable as NEMA and our members pioneer solutions that will deliver an all-electric future.”
As he leads this committee, Wirtz’s knowledge and skillset will add value to NEMA’s ongoing efforts to develop standards, recommend government policies, and use business intelligence for better decision-making across the entire electrical manufacturing industry.
