Star Tribune Names Werner Electric a Top Workplace for 9th Year

COTTAGE GROVE, Minn. — Werner Electric has been named one of the Top Workplaces in Minnesota by the Star Tribune. By receiving this recognition, Werner Electric is one of only fifteen companies to have won this award for nine consecutive years. A complete list of those selected is available at StarTribune.com/topworkplaces2018 and was also published in the Star Tribune Top Workplaces special section on Sunday, June 24.

Produced by the same team that compiles the 27-year-old Star Tribune 100 report of the best-performing public companies in Minnesota, Top Workplaces recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota based on employee opinions measuring engagement, organizational health, and satisfaction. The analysis included responses from over 71,000 employees at Minnesota public, private and nonprofit organizations.

“At Werner Electric, we believe to create a great, engaged work environment, there must be a mutual commitment between the company and our employees, with an understanding that we’re all in the same boat. What that means for us, is that everyone has a role in creating a great work environment, both the company and our employees. Engagement is something that we measure once each year through the Top Workplaces survey, but it is something that we really LIVE year-round.
It’s an honor to be selected as a Top Workplace in Minnesota for the 9th consecutive year. Werner’s employees are excited about our business, our customers and each other and that enthusiasm definitely showed through in our recent survey results,” offered Kara Morley, Director of Organizational Development.

Star Tribune Publisher Michael J. Klingensmith said, “The companies in the Star Tribune Top Workplaces deserve high praise for creating the very best work environments in the state of Minnesota. My congratulations to each of these exceptional companies.”
