ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Summit Electric Supply was recognized for the second year in a row as the second largest revenue producing company in New Mexico by the 2013 New Mexico Private 100 list.
The list honors the most successful privately owned companies headquartered in New Mexico. According to the Albuquerque Journal’s Business Outlook, companies on this year’s list generated $4.4 billion in gross revenue in 2012 and employ a total of 10,777 people.
Summit was founded in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1977 and has since grown to over 600 employees working across 24 U.S. markets and Dubai, UAE. Summit recently expanded its operations after acquiring Central Electrical Supply, a wholesale distributor in Bryan, Texas, in early November.
The company ‘s sales revenue for the trailing 12 months tops $400 million. Summit and its associates are also widely recognized for their support of organizations and causes within their local communities.
