TE Connectivity Ltd. has sold off its Touch Solutions and its TE Professional Services businesses.
The company is home of many former operations houses in Tyco Electronics, including what older electrical professionals knew as AMP.
The Gores Group is buying Touch Solutions. This unit supplies touch screens, all-in-one touch computers, and more—all branded as Elo TouchSystems. The price for the purchase came in at $380 million.
TE Professional Services became part of the company in December 2010, when ADC was acquired. It provides “engineering, furnishing and installation services to communication service providers,” and had sales of $121 million in the most recently completed fiscal year. BlueStream Professional Services LLC is paying TE $23.5 million for the unit.
