tED Magazine Kicks Off the 2016 30 Under 35 Awards

Like it or not, people between the ages of 18 and 34 make up about 34% of our workforce, making it the largest working generation in the history of this country.  Coupled with the number of Generation X and Baby Boomers who are starting to retire, and we are seeing significant value not just today, but also in the distant future for these millennials.

A major part of your strategy to keep your business growing and to keep innovating for the future is to make sure you are not just hiring, but also retaining those millennials to help you shape your strategies over the next 15 to 50 years.

We want to help you grow your relationship and retain your millennial employees by launching our 5th annual tED magazine “30 Under 35” awards nominations.  These are your best and brightest employees, and they deserve the recognition that they have earned.

To date, we have honored 120 people in our supply chain with the “30 Under 35” award.  This class will bring our number to 150.  NAED will be handing out the awards at the LEAD Conference in Chicago beginning on July 20.  It will also host our first-ever reunion of past “30 Under 35” recipients, as we begin to build this group into a committee that can share best practices and work together to shape how this supply chain operates, with the next generation moving into higher level positions.

You can nominate your “Rising Star” for a “30 Under 35” award by going to tedmag.com/30under35.  The entire nominating process takes about 10 minutes, but the results could last a lifetime when it comes to retaining your best employees to become decision-makers where you work.
