A New Look For tEDmag.com

After seeing our success with our new “lightED” website (www.lightedmag.com), tED magazine decided it was time to update the look and performance of our main website, “tedmag.com.”

Some of the new features include a “Top Story” every day, which will be featured at the top of the website. The top story from our industry will help you find the biggest news of the day. It will also be featured in our tED magazine Daily News newsletters.

The newly designed website will also provide a “continuous scroll” feature, so you will no longer have to leave one story to find the next one. The ease in navigation will allow you to find all the stories you need to know each time you visit.

We also greatly improved our search feature, so you will be able to find archived stories much more quickly and easily.

The same coverage you have been reading for the past five years remains, including a daily “Exclusive Feature” which will still be listed at the top of the home page. Just below the “Exclusive Feature” will be our “Today’s News” stories, where you can continue to read about earnings reports, new hires and promotions, mergers and acquisitions, and events that are happening every day in our supply chain.

This obviously been a very busy year for tED magazine, as we continue to improve and create new products to keep up with the demands of providing complete coverage of our news. In January, we launched the redesigned tED magazine that gives us the opportunity to be more creative when it comes to getting you the in-depth coverage of the stories you want and need every month. In July, we launched “lightED,” our website dedicated only to the lighting industry and the news it provides. We also expanded our list of Daily News newsletters from four to six, to provide you with the lighting news directly into your email inbox. And now we are redesigning tedmag.com.

The work has obviously paid off. This year, we earned 17 Regional and National awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) for our coverage in the magazine and online, plus the magazine’s design. That includes five national awards, including tedmag.com being named one of the 10 best B2B websites in the country for the second time in three years.

We hope you enjoy the new look of tEDmag.com. As always, feel free to let me know your thoughts at scosta@naed.org or 314-812-5311.
