In this issue of “The Good Stuff”, Blazer Electric Supply hosted its 13th annual benefit golf tournament to bolster the local training programs of the IEC and the JATC.

Blazer Electric Supply proudly hosted its 13th Annual Blazer Benefit Golf Tournament on July 31st, 2025, at Bear Dance Golf Club in Larkspur, Colorado.
This year’s event garnered remarkable support from individuals and corporate sponsors, raising $40,000 to bolster the local training programs of the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) and the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC).
With this year’s contributions, the tournament has now raised a cumulative total of $370,250, funding scholarships, tools, training materials, and equipment for apprenticeship programs.

The IEC and JATC programs remain pivotal in developing skilled electricians to meet Colorado’s growing demand for electrical contractors. These initiatives provide comprehensive training and certification opportunities, equipping individuals from diverse backgrounds with the expertise needed for successful careers in the electrical industry.
In 2025, the funds raised through the Blazer Benefit Golf Tournament supported scholarships for an increased number of Southern Colorado students, enabling them to complete the 2025/2026 academic year.
Trevor Blazer, President of Blazer Electric Supply, emphasized the company’s dedication to the community: “As a leader in Southern Colorado’s electrical supply industry, we are committed to building a stronger future. The Blazer Benefit Golf Tournament is more than an event—it’s a foundation for opportunity, empowering the next generation of electricians. We deeply appreciate the support of our sponsors and participants in driving this mission forward.”

Sponsors, including manufacturers and representative agencies, supported the event by sponsoring holes, while players contributed through activities like purchasing mulligans or paying comedians to be heckled on the “Hole Hecklers” hole. These efforts directly fund tuition assistance, helping students pursue rewarding careers in electrical work.
